FAST EARTHING Exothermic welding is a simple, cost-effective process used for joining similar metals like copper to copper and dissimilar metals like copper to steel. Unlike mechanical or compression connections, an exothermic weld creates a permanent and irreversible joint. The homogeneous structure formed after cooling ensures that all components fuse into a single solid mass, delivering the highest quality connection required for safe and reliable electrical systems.

The FAST EARTHING Exothermic welding process utilizes an aluminothermic reaction of a copper thermite composition to generate the required heat for welding. This process is entirely self-sufficient and does not require any external heat source. The reaction occurs inside a specially designed graphite mould suited to the specific joint configuration.

Once the weld powder is ignited using a flint gun or a battery-powered igniter, it produces molten metal that flows through the mould and surrounds the conductors. This results in a strong, permanent, and highly conductive bond between the components.

What is Fast Weld?

The Fast Weld process uses a proven method to achieve molecular-level bonding of conductors. It involves the reduction of copper oxide using aluminum, producing aluminum oxide along with intense heat that generates molten copper for the connection.

This reaction is safely contained within a graphite mould designed for specific conductor types. These moulds offer a portable, efficient, and economical solution for creating high-quality, durable electrical connections.
